Intelligent Title, a brand of American Commercial Title LLC, respects the privacy of visitors to the Site and customers of our Services. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
When you place an order or complete an intake form, we collect: your name and contact information; the property address and identifying details; your role in the transaction; contact information for any attorney, lender, broker, or other coordinating party you name; and payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers). When you visit the Site, we collect standard technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and analytics data via cookies.
2. How We Use It
To perform the title search and examination; coordinate with parties you name in your intake; issue title commitments and policies through our underwriters; process payment; comply with legal, regulatory, and record-retention obligations; communicate with you; operate and secure the Site.
3. How We Share It
With Stewart Title Guaranty Company or WFG National Title Insurance Company as the underwriter of any policy issued on your file. With Stripe as payment processor. With attorneys, lenders, brokers, or other coordinating parties you name in your intake, at your direction. With service providers who host, secure, and analyze the Site under contract. As required by law or regulatory request. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
The Site uses cookies for functionality, security, and analytics. You may control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data Retention
Title files and closing documents are retained per state insurance regulation and underwriter requirements — typically seven to fifty years depending on jurisdiction. Site usage data is retained on a rolling basis, typically not to exceed twenty-four months.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive information. No system is perfectly secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. Residents of California, and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Tennessee, Indiana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Rhode Island, and Minnesota — have specific rights under their state laws. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under GDPR. To exercise any right, email us with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
