You do not need to order a policy to get the answers

Pre-Policy Intelligence℠ is the title search and examination — available on its own, at the start of the transaction. You do not have to commit to a policy, and you do not have to be under contract.

IRIS℠ begins examining ownership, liens, judgments, encumbrances, and taxes the moment the order lands, and the first response comes back inside 24 hours — with the premium for your state and transaction, so the title cost is a known number while you are still deciding.

Close with an Intelligent Title policy and the $149 is credited in full against the premium. Decide differently and the findings are still yours — the fee covers the search and examination, which were performed either way. That is the whole reason to order early: the answer arrives while your deposit, your options, and your leverage are all still intact.

When you submit the intake form, you are routed to Stripe for the $149 payment. Stripe processes your payment securely. Your payment information is handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms and privacy policy — Intelligent Title does not store payment card numbers.

Pre-Policy Intelligence℠ is $149. That is not a charge added to your title policy — premiums are regulated state by state, and no one may add to them. It pays for the search and examination itself, performed at the start of your transaction instead of the end. Close with an Intelligent Title policy and the $149 is credited against your premium in full. Do not proceed, and you still have the completed examination — the work was performed and the record is yours. The decision to go forward is always yours. The information is yours either way.

Your premium is not affected by this order. Title insurance premiums are regulated and set state by state — the same rate with or without Pre-Policy Intelligence. The $149 pays for the early work: the record examined on day one, not 30, 60, or 90 days into the transaction.
